Do you know someone who'd be blessed by participating in our Equestrian Program?
Working with horses helps us build these important qualities:
Gentleness ~ Patience ~ Consistency ~ Persistence ~ Affection ~ Optimism
Building a trusting relationship with a horse helps us in our other relationships. Horses respond directly to the way they're treated, which provides us with important moral, spiritual and character-building lessons.
"God put qualities within the horse that reflect who He is. The horse's natural beauty, strength, majesty, and courage all come from God. The horse has the ability to forgive and not hold a grudge, to form deep, lasting relationships and to touch our hearts in a special way. God knows that as we get to know our horses, we'll get to know about their creator, too."
~ John Lyons
"Our daughter has been going to Camp Crucis for about 10 years. While normally a very shy person, her time in the Equestrian Program gave her much-needed confidence. She enjoyed the program so much that she became a Volunteer Horsemanship Counselor for a few years. She became more sure of herself, built new friendships with her team members, but most importantly—strengthened her relationship with God."
